Marissa has been involved in the media and marketing industry for over 15 years and prides herself on intimate knowledge of her industry. Throughout her career, Marissa has honed her business and professional development skills throughout Australia and internationally which has resulted in significant achievements including being a founding graduate of the Townsville Enterprise Emerging Leaders Program, she sits on the Board of Directors for North Queensland Football and is a Certified Practicing Marketer and Judge for the Australian Marketing Institute. In 2007, she discovered a gap in the market where her skills and knowledge could be utilised, resulting in the development of the company The Marketing Factory, a unique collaboration of services filling a niche in the marketing and advertising industry in regional Queensland that has been listed in the top 7% of creative industries in Australia (source: Australian Bureau of Statistics). The Marketing Factory has also received over 15 industry awards for their excellence in marketing and design. Marissa is also the Founder and Editor of Success North Queensland, which has been sharing the stories from the Burdekin to Cairns since 2011. In 2017 Success NQ was awarded the Best Non-Daily Publication in Queensland at the Queensland Multi Media Awards. In 2020, she launched a new and innovative company, Everyday Strategy, with business partner Kim Yabsley, aimed to scale growth potential and optimise opportunities. This business has seen great success for clients in its short history. Marissa is a successful, highly accomplished and proud Queenslander, who understands the issues that are facing all areas of business. She has been key to proving insights into contemporary issues business face and the strategies to drive growth and sustainability.
